“PRINT MEDIA IS NOT DEAD”

With Newsweek transitioning to a digital-only version, the cries that warn of the end of print media have only grown louder over the last few months. As crosswords are an integral part of newspapers and magazines, some have worried that crosswords could soon be a thing of the past. But don’t fear! I’ve devised a set of 12 interconnected puzzles that celebrate print media. And really – what better way to commemorate the printed page than to offer it strictly through electronic means?
WHAT THE CONTEST ENTAILS
The first eleven puzzles – ten standard 15×15 crosswords plus one variety cryptic – each lead to a key answer. The twelfth and final puzzle will tell you what to do with those eleven key answers in order to get the Final Answer. If this sounds familiar, you’ve probably done one or all of Patrick Blindauer’s four Puzzlefests, or perhaps similar projects by Eric Berlin and Trip Payne. This is in the same vein as those offerings; additionally, if you are a fan of Matt Gaffney’s Weekly Crossword Contest, you’ll feel right at home with these puzzles.
