Puzzle #12 - Solution

RG2014.12 Hardest/Harder - Solution

RG2014.12 Easier/Easiest - Solution

Another brief post today. Very busy work and puzzle schedule of late - that's how I like it! B2 was clearly the seed, and I loved the clue that I came up for it. That's what I strive for in a seed answer - a fresh, lively answer coupled with a clever clue. Speaking of which, Wordplay magazine's third issue will be released soon, and I'm fairly certain it contains an original Rows Garden of mine, and if it's the one I think it is, it features perhaps my favorite clue ever. I've got some more puzzles coming up in future issues as well, and based on what I've seen and solved in the first two issues, it's a stellar magazine. Definitely worth a subscription if you haven't already.

  1. Okay, I guess it's the ultimate nitpick to say that Algernon (Medium Bloom clue) was a mouse, not a rat. :-) But I did have a problem with the White Bloom clue "Lobster's feeler" for PINCER. A lobster's pincer is its claw; a feeler would be one of its antennae. Aside from that, fun puzzle! And I'm looking forward to seeing your RGs in WordPlay.
