May FREE RG - PDF: Hardest | Harder | Easier | Easiest | Solution
May FREE RG - RGZ (for solving in the Rows Garden app for iPad/iPhone, Android, and Kindle Fire)
Here's this month's FREE RG. This puzzle started with the entry at C1. I also enjoyed including B1, F1, G2, and I2 in this puzzle, which give the puzzle a nice colloquial feel. Hope you enjoy!
What do you suggest as a general equivalent in difficulty to the kind of Rows Garden puzzles you see in places like the WSJ? "Harder" seems to be the same kind of rules those puzzles are presented in, but I'm finding them to be much easier than these on average...
ReplyDeleteAs for difficulty, you're correct that the WSJ Rows Gardens are equivalent to the Harder difficulty level here - I think the blooms are randomly ordered in WSJ, not alphabetically ordered, but they're still not listed in grid order as the Easier/Easiest versions are on this site.
DeleteAs far as cluing difficulty, I'd say that mine are going to be a little more challenging than the WSJ, though your mileage may vary. I've found that gauging difficulty for a Rows Garden really fluctuates from solver to solver, much more so than a standard crossword.
